About the contracting institution
The institution´s premises are mainly located in the Arrhenius laboratories together with the other chemistry institutions and other institutions in "Life Science". More than 200 people, including about 80 doctoral students, are currently employed by the department. The research spans a wide area and is within many of the projects of the highest world class. The department also has a strong connection to the Science for Life Laboratory. The research that is conducted is unique in Sweden and also in the world through its interdisciplinary nature and spans a very wide area including cell biology, biochemistry, biophysics and theory. Goals and purpose
The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics wishes to purchase a laminar flow cabinet (Type 2), for operator protection from allergenic biological materials
Requirement specification
Product:
Type 2, dual filter laminar flow cabinet with thimble duct (dragavbrott)
70% flow recirculation or similar (60-80% considered but specification is for 70%)
1200mm wide working area, and maximum width of 1400mm.
The working height of the cabinet must be manually adjustable and able to be set for a worksurface height of 90cm
The work surface should be a solid surface if possible, other than airpath openings for downflow at the front of the surface (work surfaces with holes all over will be considered, but the preference is for a mostly intact worksurface other than down vent holes at the cabinet front)
The working area must contain at least one electrical outlet (240V, CEE 7/3)
The window must be able to open at least 250mm to put items in the hood.
The front window of the hood must be made from clear glass.
Cabinet must fit through a 900mm wide door opening and be able to be transported in an elevator with door height of 1995mm
Cabinet must be able to be placed no more than 100mm clear from the building walls (rear and sides)
Product must function using the 1 phase Swedish electrical system, fitted with a CEE 7/4 plug, and draw less than 10A maximum)
The cabinet must be supplied with an exhaust mounted box style or similar “thimble duct” (dragavbrott) for exhaust connection to building ventilation using piping.
The exhaust connection must be able to be fitted with an air pressure sensor to interface with the building ventilation control valves (sensor and sensor installation to be provided by SU/DBB)
If required, the supplier must make a service visit, at no extra cost, after the cabinet has been connected to the building ventilation, in order to calibrate the air flow so the cabinet functions correctly.
The cabinet must be delivered between weeks 36 and 38 2020. Delivery to: SU Godsmottagningen, Frescativägen 8, Stockholm University.
The cabinet must be fully supported with spare parts available for a period of 7 years after purchase, and extended “best effort” support available after this.
The cabinet must be supplied with a 2 year full warranty on all parts.
The supplier must have a service agency within no more than 3 hours total billed travel time of Stockholm University Frescati campus.
The product must be CE-marked (includes environmental requirements and constitutes standard)
Quotation
We expect quotation regarding the above and wish the following to be stated in the quotation;
Price;
State the total price for delivery including service and installation.
No other costs may be added for the commission´s implementation.
Answer in the tender how the offered product meets the requirement specification:
The quotation must contain the reference number SU-431-0004-20 in the title.
The quotation will be submitted no later than 2020-07-24
The quotation must be binding with 2020-10-01
Evaluation and award (supplier selection)
The supplier offering the most advantageous solution to the contract is awarded the contract. SU evaluates the tenders in accordance with the above requirements.
