1 About the contracting institution

 The institution´s premises are mainly located in the Arrhenius laboratories together with the other chemistry institutions and other institutions in "Life Science". More than 200 people, including about 80 doctoral students, are currently employed by the department. The research spans a wide area and is within many of the projects of the highest world class. The department also has a strong connection to the Science for Life Laboratory. The research that is conducted is unique in Sweden and also in the world through its interdisciplinary nature and spans a very wide area including cell biology, biochemistry, biophysics and theory. 2 Goals and purpose

DBB wishes to have annual inspection and testing carried out on its microbiological safety cabinets to ensure they are protecting the end user, according to Swedish standard EN 12469

3 Requirement specification

DBB has a number of microbiological safety cabinets which we require to be checked for safe functioning.

Cabinets are to be checked for air flow rate, and leakage, plus general electronic and mechanical functionality to ensure that they meet Swedish standard EN 12469 requirements.

Approximately 25-27 cabinets will be included in the commission. Inspections should be carried out in one block of work over consecutive days where possible.

Inspections should be carried out during January 2021, with the exact dates of the job negotiated between the winning supplier and DBB.

After inspection each cabinet should be marked with a label indicating either the date of inspection, the date the next inspection is due, or both.

A brief report should be provided no later than two weeks after the commission is completed to show cabinets were certified, or specifying any problems identified (this can be submitted electronically).

4 Quotation

We expect quotation regarding the above and wish the following to be stated in the quotation;

Price;

State the price per cabinet, plus the hourly rate for travel costs and expected total travel costs for the commission (if this will be included in the final bill).

State the expected number of working days estimated to be required to perform the certifications.

No other costs may be added for the commission´s implementation.

Answer in the tender how the offered service meets the requirement specification.

5. Evaluation and award (supplier selection)

The supplier offering the most advantageous solution to the contract is awarded the contract. SU evaluates the tenders in accordance with the above requirements.
