Request For Information (RFI) - Regarding primary batteries for Navigational Aids

With this RFI the Swedish Maritime Administration wishes to gather information and conduct an analysis of the market. In order to create an overview of what the market has to offer and as a basis for future technical specifications regarding primary energy sources

SMA has approximately 700 floating aids in operation along the Swedish coast and larger lakes, which are used for navigation and for identification of objects.

The purpose of this RFI is to obtain more information about:

• Suitable type of energy storage

• Suitable voltage and energy content

• Self discharge

• Delivery time

• Approximate cost / Wh
