Laser spectroscopy analyzer for isotopic CO2 analysis in animal studies

We study the physiology of small birds, bats and other animals. Measurement of CO2 concentration and the 13C/12C isotopic ratio of breath CO2 allows for measurement of the oxidation of a variety of metabolic substrates and the turnover rate of 13C labelled NaBi. The turnover rate of 13C labelled NaBi is rapid and dynamic and so fast sampling rate and responsiveness of the instrument is important.
