Scope

In Appendix 1 - Specifications of requirements there is a summary of the technical features that must and should be considered to give researchers at BMC, the Medical Faculty and LU in general access to a modern high-performance Imaging system. New technical developments have made automated microscopy a truly versatile tool for biological and medical research. Several technical developments have greatly increased the applications and usefulness of automated microscopy in medical research.

The Imaging system will be placed in the A-building in room A1231. At startup, 50% of the available time will be allotted to Dr Filipe Pereira´s research group. The other 50% the system will be open to other users at Lund University and administered by LBIC. LBIC will formally own the system and the initial fractions of usage may be changed over time. Since the system will be available to a very broad researcher base, special emphasis will be put on system automation, flexibility, user friendliness and quality of the equipment when evaluating tenders.

The warranty period for the system must be at least one (1) year after approved test period.

The scope also includes service contracts regarding year 2 and 3 with options to extend for max two (2) or three (3) more years.

The maximum accepted price for the system is 2 500 000 SEK excluding value added tax.

The maximum accepted price for the service contract (year 2 and 3) is 250 000 SEK excluding value added tax.
