The purpose of this purchase it to obtain a Multiphoton Laser Scanning Microscope (LSM) equipped with an ultrafast tunable IR laser and both fast (resonant-based) and precise (galvo-based) scanning optical scanning pathway for in vivo two photon functional imaging, including specified objective lens, microscope body rotation around a focal point for curved structures imaging. Flexible and expendable optical design is required to perform functional studies of the activity of neurons sparsely representing external world within the central and peripheral nervous system.

LiU has found that this LSM is the only instrument that fulfills all the requirements set out in the specification of requirements (Appendix 1).

LiU announces the intention for this purchase and takes into account a standstill period of 10 days from the date of publication.

Please inform LiU in the case your company can offer an instrument with the same characteristics as the LSM stated in this notice.

The system can be provided only by a particular tenderer for technical reasons.

The mandatory requirements that are needed for the LSM and the market research are included in enclosed "Appendix 1 to BKV-2020-00992, Laser Scanning Microscope" and "Appendix 2, BKV-2020-00992, Laser Scanning Microscope", respectively.
