The Division of Robotics, Perception and Learning (RPL) at EECS-school at KTH in Stockholm is planning to procure a Humanoid robot on a mobile base with a dual-arm system.

Humanoid robots are valuable platforms for research in various field, including assistant in care centers, home, and manufacturing environment. By having a morphology that resembles the human body, these robots are versatile and well suited to evolve in environments originally made for humans. Humanoid robots are therefore more suited for performing tasks that humans also perform in their everyday lives, and therefore often hold more potential than other robots to assist us. Humanoid robots on mobile base have the additional advantage to be safe compared the bipedal humanoid robot, as the mobile base reduces the risk of falls.
