The aim of the high-power laser system (laser, guiding fibres and optics) is to enable a flexible range of research experiments, which involve high power laser beam processing of materials, including metals and metal alloys. Importantly, the laser system will be used in synchrotron x-ray experiments, where the properties of materials during laser processing will be determined.
