Support in teaching and development for the course ARK500 - Geographical information analysis in the Degree of Business development and entrepreneurship at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology.

Requirements specifications of goods/services

The purchase must include the following products/commitments/services:

Support for course development, teaching and tutoring in the course: ARK500 - Geographical information analysis in the Degree of Business development and entrepreneurship at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology. The course, taught between January and March 2023, is about Geographic Information System (GIS) and is currently transitioning from the use of the software ArcMap towards the use of QGIS. The working time is 95 hours.The following needs have to be fulfilled by the service provider:

1. Knowledge and previous experience of working both with QGIS and ArcMap.

2. Considering the specific orientation of the degree in which the course is included, previous experience in teaching GIS (including tutoring activities) within a business development and entrepreneurship degree program is needed.

3. Due to the applied nature of the course content, practical experience in empirical/professional/academic work in projects related to urban development and planning is important

4. Previous experience with working in an international team and international students

5. Since it is a computer-based course where hybrid online-offline teaching can be necessary at certain moments, experience in both online and in presence teaching is necessary

6. Since one of the assignments relates to flooding and climate change, experience with climate analytics and urban transitions for climate resilience is required

Price

Price shall be submitted in SEK excluding VAT and include all related costs requested in this request for tender.

Agreement terms

The supplier must accept all agreement terms.

Tender submission

The tender must be received no later than 2022-10-30.

The tender shall be valid until 2022-11-30.

Evaluation of tenders

The most economically advantageous tender (i.e. an assessment of price, quality, service etc.) will be chosen.

Confidentiality and the freedom of information principle

After the procurement has been terminated the principle of public access to official records applies. This means that all documents related to the procurement process become public and may be disclosed to anyone who requests access to them. Exceptions may only be made if there is any specific reason to believe that the Tenderer may suffer damage if the information is disclosed.

If you have information that you feel is of such nature, your tender shall include precise details of which information should remain confidential, and how you would suffer damage in case of the public disclosure of this information. Chalmers will evaluate your request and determine whether confidentiality in accordance with Swedish law may be deemed to apply.
