Description of goods/services

At the department Quantum Technology, Chalmers University of Technology, we are a research group working in the field of quantum optomechanics. To realize a strong interaction between mechanical motion and the light field it is required to minimize any loss mechanism. To overcome gas-damping we would need to build a ultra-high vacuum (UHV) setup, which includes chamber, translational stage, ion pump.

The purchase must include the following products/commitments/services:

We require one xy-nanopositioning stage including a controller that fulfills the following requirements:

Nanopositioning stage:

-UHV-compatible (down to 10-9 mbar, stainless steel body)

-Withstand temperature change up to 120 degrees Celsius

-Operation at room temperature

-Closed-loop operation

-assembly as a single 2-axis xy-stage possible

-sample load on stage up to 3N (from vertical direction)

-travel range in x-direction (horizontal): minimally 25mm

-travel range in y-direction (horizontal): minimally 25mm

-minimal step size: 50nm or smaller

-position sensor resolution: 1nm or smaller

-position encoder repeatability: +-100nm or smaller

-Under normal conditions minimal lifetime of 250000 cycles

Nanopositioning controller:

-control the above mentioned 2-axis nanopositioning stage via a PC

-tabletop enclosure

-PC interface: USB2 or Ethernet

-programming interface: via Python

UHV feedthrough:

-UHV-compatible cabling and feedthrough included

-Length of the cable inside the chamber: 50 cm

-Length of the cable outside the chamber: 3 m

-Feedthrough should be placed on DN40CF-flange

-Invoice issue: earliest July 1st 2023

-Delivery within 20 weeks

Price

Price shall be submitted in SEK excluding VAT and include all related costs requested in this request for tender.

Agreement terms

The supplier must accept all agreement terms.

Tender submission

The tender must be received no later than 2023-03-15

The tender shall be valid until 2023-04-30 

Evaluation of tenders

The most economically advantageous tender (i.e. an assessment of price, quality, service etc.) will be chosen.

Confidentiality and the freedom of information principle

After the procurement has been terminated the principle of public access to official records applies. This means that all documents related to the procurement process become public and may be disclosed to anyone who requests access to them.
