Description of goods/services

The instrument is going to be used for teaching purposes within the field of colloidal and surface chemistry. The aim is to determine the electrophoretic mobility of suspended particles, as small as 0.2 um, and to visualize Brownian motion of particles in solutions of high electrolyte concentrations.

The construction and the function of the instrument need to be clear, plain and user-friendly, i.e. sample cell placed accessible and visible, in which the platinum electrodes are easily inserted. The sample cell is flat and can be heated under controlled parameters.

The sample cell must be monitored optically with a microscope equipped with a grid for distance measuring. The microscope must have the possibility of connecting to a camera and a monitor. This way the sample cell can be easily visualized on a screen and easily monitored by a group of students simultaneously.

The purchase must include the following products:

1 pc Microelectrophoresis apparatus with 1)a flat sample cell, 2) controlled heating of sample cell, 3) a micrscope prepared to connect to camera and monitor and 4) lower limit particle size 0.2 um

1 Pair platinum electrodes

Price shall be submitted in SEK excluding VAT and include all related costs requested in this request for tender.

The supplier must accept all agreement terms.

Confidentiality and the freedom of information principle

After the procurement has been terminated the principle of public access to official records applies. This means that all documents related to the procurement process become public and may be disclosed to anyone who requests access to them.
